The Google AdSense service we use to serve advertising uses a DoubleClick cookie to serve more relevant ads across the web and limit the number of times that a given ad is shown to you. For more information on Google AdSense see the official Google AdSense privacy FAQ. We use adverts to offset the costs of running this site and provide funding for further page development. The behavioral advertising cookies used by this site are designed to ensure that we provide you with the most relevant adverts where possible by anonymously tracking your interests and presenting similar things that may be of interest. In some cases we may provide you with custom content based on what you tell us about yourself either directly or indirectly by linking a social media account. These types of cookies simply allow Google to provide you with content that may be of interest to you. There are ways to block ads. Using Duck Duck go for example will block ads. However many sites solely rely on Adsense revenue, or as an additional supply of revenue to stay in business and may disallow you access to their site if you ad block. Our settings chosen in Google Adsense will allow you to consent to personalized ads or choose your own preferences. This dialogue box will come up from Adsense when you access the site.

Bitbetbuddy has checked the radio button to restrict data processing to California residents as a courtesy even though we do not do business there, or target California in any way. However since we may get unsolicited visitors from California from time to time via search engines this restricted setting has been set anyhow. Updated: Although we believe that this site does not currently apply to the requirements for needing to use a CCPA message, none the less in respect of California law, we chose to click on this option in Google Adsense allowing for California residents to opt out regardless. Adsense will show this option to California residents should they happen to find our site online.
Restricted data processing
You can choose from two options for your account for users who Google determines are in California. If you don’t make any changes, data processing won’t be restricted and personalized ads will continue to show on your site. Learn more
